When you select a figure in the group, all the grouped shape will be selected together. But if you want to select a part of this grouped shape, it is convenient to change the select mode by shortcut key [CTRL]+[H].
* [CTRL]+[H] can switch PICKSTYLE = 0 to 1
Also you can change the Object grouping setting from Option "Selection Set".
